In case you thought that Jews are “white”

,

Israeli Jews are a diverse group of people. There seems to be a misguided narrative going around that Jews are “white” because it plays into classic racist tropes when discussing Palestinians.

If any country could claim the “Rainbow Nation” banner that South Africa once claimed (perhaps still does), Israel could be such a country. Israeli Jews returned from eastern Europe, north Africa, the Middle East and elsewhere.

    Technically, Jews are a hybrid between Italian women, Han Chinese men, with some North Africans in the mix.

    Genetic data fixes their origin in Israel and points out how Jewish genetics are consistent with that origin to this day.
