Free WordPress blog in under 5 minutes!

No, this is not spam.  I heard about free WordPress blogs hosted on WordPress’ own site so I wandered over to WordPress.com and signed up.  I typed in a username and gave my email address and received the password within 2 minutes or so.  I signed in and, hey presto, I have a new WordPress blog all set up.  It even has a number of themes available to choose from.  And it didn’t cost me a cent.  Nada!

Although there doesn’t seem to be a way to edit the code directly, this is definitely an excellent way to set up a blog and start blogging in under 5 minutes.  If you are looking for a blog on a really excellent platform really quickly, head over to WordPress.com and sign up right away.

I have set up a blog here just to test the whole thing out.  This literally took me 5 minutes.  Did I mention that I am really impressed!  Way to go WordPress!

  1. WordPress rocks! Started blogging with blogspot, but waited forever and a day for stuff to be uploaded to their servers. With wordpress you can host yourself (or locally at least) and eliminate the painful waiting for post images and such to upload. Just installed WordPress 2.0, much better interface!
