Life and its many opportunities

I’m on week 10 of my 10k coaching plan with Garmin. As part of that plan, I ran my longest run so far, yesterday. It was an “easy” long run of about 17.7km (not counting warm up and cool down).

I stepped out just after 6am, and set out on my route that would take around my city, and through the middle of it, just so I could achieve the distance I needed to cover (Israeli cities are pretty small in global terms).

I ran a pretty slow pace that I found much easier to sustain over longer distances. I still walked part of the route, especially towards the end of the run.

The run was tough. At the same time, I enjoyed it for the most part. I’m not exactly rushing to do longer runs, although I am pretty proud of myself for completing this one.
