A few people have complained that Firefox 2.0 is not terribly stable and has a tendency to freeze. Do you use Firefox 2.0 as your primary browser? If so, what are your thoughts? I have been using Apple’s Safari as my primary browser but even Safari doesn’t handle some sites as well as Firefox.
There is some news on the next major release of Thunderbird. Thunderbird 2.0 Beta 1 has been released for public review. I haven’t used Thunderbird since I migrated to my Mac so I am a little out of touch with what it can do now. I think the last version I used was version 1.0. If you are running a Windows machine and are already used to using Firefox then I recommend trying Thunderbird out. First time users probably shouldn’t use the Beta version, at least until the Release Candidates are released. I distinctly remember Thunderbird incorporating a pretty decent feed reader in the days before there were many options so if you are keen to aggregate all your content, email and feeds into one application, this may be the way to go. Once again, I am interested in what you think if you are a Thunderbird user.
Update:
Paul Walsh suggested that I ping Ian Hayward whose company, Glaxstar, maintains the Spreadfirefox site. I really like the Spreadfirefox site which is built on Drupal, a particularly cool CMS. Hey Ian, great job on the Spreadfirefox site. Glaxstar’s clients include del.icio.us, Spreadfirefox and Paypal. As I udnerstand it, Glaxstar is the company behind some of the Firefox plugins that link to those services!
