Flowers and Construction on a Sunny Spring Morning

I went for a walk this morning to drop off some (long) overdue library books. I took my camera along with me for a change.

Little Red Flowers

These flowers seem to all over Modiin. I have no idea what they’re called but they’re pretty.

A passing view of Park Annabe

I had a couple things to do in the city this morning and my route took me past Park Annabe, one of Modi’in’s central features. I was greeted with a pretty spectacular view and thought I’d share it.

City benches

I went for a walk to drop off some library books. The machine that I wanted to use to drop off the books was out of order. I found some decorated, though weathered, city benches along the way.

No Flickr, I didn’t take my photos in Ramallah

Flickr’s OpenStreetMap integration is a bit screwy. It took photos that I geolocated in Modi’in and geotagged them in Ramallah. Totally different city.

Modi’in looks pretty, don’t you think?

A perspective on Modi’in, our city, one Friday morning as the clouds were lifting.

Fires nearby our home in Modi’in [Photos]

This morning we woke up to the strong smell of fires outside our home. Wildfires were raging on the outskirts of our city and it was a disconcerting sight.

The iconic Modi’in Dimri Tower

The Modi’in Dimri Tower is an iconic feature of the city’s skyline. I’ve been a little fascinated by it since we arrived in Israel in December 2014.
