“What makes photography a strange invention …”

John Berger’s quote about “[w]hat makes photography a strange invention …” caught my attention. It was one of what seem like many inspiring perspectives on photography by a well regarded artist.

On dying, photography and being profoundly present

Celine Marchbank’s Tulip project is a wonderful collections of memories of her mother in her last year. It is also a powerful reminder about the importance of being present and my regret that I wasn’t with my father.
