Which DVD player is a good option?

Our LG DVR is dying and we want to buy a DVD player so we can still play our DVDs in our existing collection. We really don’t want anything too fancy because my plan is to switch to digital content and not buy any more physical media. My Grand Plan involves something like a Mac mini or Apple TV and a new HD tv (we still have an old non-HD tv) down the line so this is sort of legacy support for our existing collection.

Any recommendations? My first thought is a Samsung player. LG isn’t an option for us. We have only had issues with LG players.
