Paul, Word dogs my daily existence, too. And, like you, I have moved all my long document production to Scrivener. Scrivener excels in generating and maintaining a longer document as manageable pieces, and jumping from section to section is far faster than in Word or any other traditional Word processor. For me, Scrivener is a near-revolutionary advancement in preparing and revising long, complex patent applications. My secretary handles transplanting the .RTF compilation I output from Scrivener into a Word document that includes the specific formatting required for patent submission. Too bad that Scrivener (to my knowledge) cannot apply automatic paragraph numbering in the required format, or I could go straight from Scrivener to the required PDF file.
