Hi Andrew

Promptly paying invoices is a very good start and the basis of a good relationship with a client so although it is very materialistic, it is a must. There are few things more stressful than a client who simply doesn’t pay invoices, especially where 3rd parties have been paid on the client’s behalf and the attorney is now also out of pocket.

That being said, this is just the basis of a relationship with a client. What makes a client a “good client” to me is how well I get along with the client, how they conduct themselves and whether I believe in them and their cause.
