My landline went down on Thursday afternoon and is still down. I have logged the fault with Telkom and hope that its technicians will be able to restore my service before the end of August, 2007. In the meantime I am still contactable on my mobile phone, by fax and email. My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
A telkom technician was just here and he has resolved the problem with my line. Apparently Telkom is upgrading its lines and equipment in the area and I was caught in the middle.
