The Oscars website has quite a bit from the evening itself including a red carpet photo album. Just scanning the gallery, Keira Knightly looked spectacular. Local lass done good, Charlize Theron also looked spectacular. They raise ’em good in Benoni!

‘Jon Stewart hosted the 78th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night and the big upset was in the Best Picture category, where Crash pulled out a win over Brokeback Mountain. Crash also picked up awards for Original Screenplay and Film Editing.
Ang Lee won Best Director for Brokeback Mountain, which received awards for Best Score and Adapted Screenplay as well.
In the acting awards, Philip Seymour Hoffman won Best Actor for Capote and Reese Witherspoon Best Actress for Walk the Line. George Clooney took home the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Syriana and Rachel Weisz won for Best Supporting Actress for The Constant Gardener.
Like Crash and Brokeback Mountain, King Kong and Memoirs of a Geisha also received three awards each. Peter Jackson’s film won for Visual Effects, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing, while Rob Marshall’s “Memoirs” received awards for Art Direction, Cinematography and Costume Design.
Best Animated Feature went to Wallace & Gromit – The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, Tsotsi was the Best Foreign Film and March of the Penguins won Best Documentary.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe also won for Best Makeup and Hustle & Flow got the Best Song award for “”It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp.”‘
