Three things on this one. First, though Zoopy only launched into Live Beta on 5 March 07, we entered closed-Beta testing from the third quarter of last year. Second, Zoopy is (and still is) SA’s first video AND photo sharing social network (i.e. both photos and videos). Third, this is by no means our entire pitch. Yes, we’ve included the word ‘first’ in our title tag and once on our About Us page, but really it’s just there to give some context to who and what Zoopy is.
But having said all that, we’re not all that precious about hanging on to the ‘first’ claim. In fact, most of our off-site communication refers to Zoopy as ‘South Africa’s video and photo sharing social network’. The fact that it still exists in two places on our site is less about our ego and more about us spending most of our time on other things, like keeping users happy, releasing new features and developing Zoopy v2 š
