I am pleased to report that Telkom’s technician arrived this morning as promised and my line has been moved to the new house. My voicemail message has been changed and I am back online.
I’d like to think I can function as effectively with no landline and only wifi hotspots, my mobile phone and PostNet (not to mention my wits) to get by on but it just isn’t the same as when there is a fast (and relatively reliable) Internet connection on hand and a landline.
My usual blog posts should return as soon as I have a chance to digest the many many news items that have been collected in my newsreader.
